Enjoy the oldest recorded form of exercise in the world in the oldest botanic Garden in Texas...our very own Fort Worth Botanic Garden! Drink in the beauty of the Japanese Gardens while enjoying the soothing gift of yoga. Learn to decrease stress while increasing mobility; calm the mind while energizing the body. We will practice a flowing style of yoga incorporating breath work and relaxation techniques. Class appropriate and challenging for all levels. Please wear stretchy, comfortable layered clothing. Please bring your own mat, blocks, strap, towel and water.

Hip and Shoulder Openers in the Japanese Garden  * ENROLL NOW *
Where do you hide your stress? Many women pack it in their hips and shoulders. Yoga offers a nurturing way to open these trouble spots. Join health and wellness expert Gemma Hobbs for an eight week exploration of these strong but burdened joints. This yoga class will be a combination of yoga flow and restorative yoga: the flow will be used to build up heat in the muscle tissue and the restorative will be for restoring muscle length and relaxation. A variety of hop and shoulder openers will be practiced. All levels are welcome (beginners included). Please bring your own yoga mat and a blanket or beach towel.

Quit Smoking in the Japanese Garden  * ENROLL NOW *
One of the best places to quit smoking is the Japanese Garden. The best time to quit, when you think about it, is now. This smoker-friendly class is designed for those who don't want to quit but know they should. Using unique methods that are part of learning the ancient art of T'ai Chi, the smoker will learn to finally overcome his or her dependence on tobacco. Motivational strategies, relaxation exercises, and group discussion will be part of the process of pre-quitting, quitting, and post-quitting. Techniques such as Punching Up the Yuck Factor, Lite Discipline, and Investing in Loss are intended to move the student into the nonsmoking section of life permanently.
